I am closing on a KB home in St John Forest at the end of November. Do I need to get my own closing attorney or use the attorney the KB mortgage company is providing. I am moving from South Jersey and have no idea about the attorneys in that area.

You will want to use KB's attorney. In fact its all written in your contract. If you want to use your own attorney, you can, but it will be at your cost. And it will delay your closing... be prepared for that. If you feel more comfortable, you can hire your own representation to come with you to the closing table. But again, that would be your cost.

I used to work at KB, so I have seen that happen before. I also see it happen with the new home builder I work with.
