I had a friend in Junior League who used the membership list as her mailing list for all sorts of parties. Passion parties, candle parties, gold parties, purse parties, pampered chef, ... you name it... that chick was on board to sell it to you. She always had enough cash to put together nice social gatherings too... so it seemed to be working out for her to be a semi-professional hostess.
I never went to one (who has that much money to drop every week?) but I think it'd be an easy way to make some cash for minimal effort.... or to earn ...hmmm... merchandise. Ha. Makes me wonder if my friend took the cash or chose shopping credits... I should ask her...
