I have often brought my dog there but am having to do it daily now as my children (dogs playmates) are out of town and the dog needs to run off his energy. Anyhooo this is the place to be around 6pm at night. It is packed with people bringing their dogs there to play and while the dogs are chasing balls, frisbees, each other their owners can chat. It's great. I told my husband last night that if I was single and needed to meet someone I would be getting a dog and heading straight there each night LOL

No - it's a separate park for dogs which is enclosed. No one would dare touch the sacred fields - even the players (my two sons included) are in awe of "the fields".

Ha! The fields are in better shape than they were, but they are far from good. Over use is rampant and they will continue to be less than good until a rotating play/ practice schedule is used. Is the doggie park over near the baseball fields and play area? I need to get out more!

We love going there but our dog always runs right for the kiddie pool and gets soaking wet then roles around in the dirt. He has so much fun but my car gets so dirty and muddy.

The off leash park is over by the pavilion. As you drive into Davie take the road right away from soccer fields and the road takes you to the Pavilion. It's signposted. There are two sections, one for little dogs and the other for the big dogs. It's fun and they have a couple of small plastic pools for the dogs to cool down in and buckets of water all over so that they can get a drink.

Hmmmmmm... another thought...... how about a dog rental service. Single, not wishing to be tied down to a dog, but wishing to meet caring, soft hearted single souls that love dogs? Rent a dog for 3 dollars an hour. (Leash .50 cents per hour extra.)
