We are 4 african american females who are planning a girls weekend. Any advice on what to do and where to go? OR at least where not to go?

Clubs, entertainment, shopping (looking for bargains), restaurant.
Thanks

If you and your friends like vintage clothing, you might try Hong Kong in Plaza Midwood: HONG KONG VINTAGE & RECYCLED || Retail Shop (http://www.hongkongvintage.com/retail.html - broken link)

I was there just last weekend but I was with my husband so I didn't get to really peruse the racks - he wanted out! LOL

There's some other interesting shops in Plaza Midwood: Plaza Midwood Neighborhood - Charlotte, NC

Maybe a day spa... I've heard of (but haven't yet been to) places like Oasis Day Spa (Oasis - Day Spa| Spa in Charlotte, NC | Call 704-385-7021) or Ballentyne Resort Spa (Ballantyne Resort - Spa).

Go to the Breakfast Club uptown. It always makes for a great girls night out.

I 2nd the Breakfast Club. Being inside and seeing the classic ambience and videos brings back memories.
I'd also 2nd L.A.
Just so happens I am lacking in a transporter pad to get there in the blink of an eye.
Good Luck in your endeavours!!
