When does High School Football start up around here? Also what local station has the best coverage on Friday nights?

CMS football schedule: 2009 CMS football schedules - CharlotteObserver.com (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/335/story/742329.html - broken link). Couldn't tell you what channel to watch it on.

All three channels (WCNC, WBTV, WSOC and FOX) cover HS football. I think WBTV has the longest coverage, an hour show, can't remember for sure. Games start on Friday, August 21st, game time is 7:00 or 7:30pm. The big everyone is talking about on that night is Independence AT Mallard Creek. If anyone plans on going, better go early, it will sell out.

MCHS is located in North Charlotte, on Johnston-Oehler (pronounced Aler, not Oler) Road, exit off I85 at Mallard Creek Ch Road (exit 46), go west (right off southbound side) (if you run into hwy 29 you went east) about 1 mile, turn right onto Mallard Creek Rd (at the Walgreens, Harris Teeter), about 1 mile to the light, left onto Johnston-Oehler. School will be on your left, just past Mallard Creek Park.
