I'm looking to join a tennis league and am wondering where to go online to find information. I would prefer not to join a club to do it as I want to keep the dues ($) low. I'm a former tennis teaching pro and would like to find a competitive 4.5-5.0 men's league that plays at night or Sunday mornings.
Go to Charlotte Tennis Association - Charlotte Challenge Ladders (http://www.network.usta.com/publish.sps?syndicatorguid={D939189D-D6D9-4853-ADFE-42FC5A221918}&rmasiteinstanceguid={CE86F983-579A-48E4-89B0-34055D3C3296}&rmapageid=27&pagegid=%7BB8A178C1%2D1 4AA%2D4351%2DA9C5%2D1F7EC9167F2B%7D§ionID=1525 2 - broken link)
Cheap, flexible, and you can play whenever you want.

The Fall season for USTA is to begin in 2 weeks. You can register up until mid September. I happen to captain a team for the 8.5 Mens Combo (all doubles). There are clubs that will allow you to play on their league for small fee ($25-40) in the higher NRTP ratted leagues. I know someone that is starting a 9.5 Combo at my club in south Charlotte, most of players are teaching Pros or ex D1 players. Shoot me DM f you are in south part of town and this might interest you and I will give you contact of captain.
[do not join this group if you are 49 plus, they judge by your age and the town you are from, if you are not 3o something, native, not part of the clique, they remove from their group, take cheap shops, and are not welcoming...try Jeff Adams Center
