anyone have any good suggestions near 485 on the east side of the loop?
I will be driving to Concord everyday and want to keep the commute to 35 minutes or less.
We are looking for a house in the 250-300 range. Any suggestions for some cool/safe neighborhoods for a small family?

Thanks, you guys are great!

You want Mint Hill in my opinion My all time favorite neighborhood in your price range is Ashe Plantation on Fairview Rd. It's a really pretty neighborhood with nice treed lots and beautiful homes. It is very convenient to I485 and would give you a very easy commute to Concord.

In addition, right down the road from Ashe Plantation is Olde Sycamore. It's a golf club community but still affordable with some very nice homes in your range. Best of luck to you!

Take a look at Iron Gate. Those are bank owned in there and you could get a deal. We were never paid for our work in there.

Bradfield Farms is a great family neighborhood right off of I485. About 1000 homes , 2 pools, 4 tennis courts, walking trails. There is a large area of land directly behind it that is owned by the county. It has bicycle trials and a small lake. There are homes in a variety of styles and sizes. I have known many people who have started in a smaller home and later moved to a larger home in another section. It is in the county, so no city taxes. The schools are decent. You can be in Concord in 20 -25 minutes.
