I've been told on this board that Hickory is the best place to go get furniture around here but what is the best store in Hickory? Are they all similar or are some better than others?

Which furniture store might be best for you depends on a number of factors: What style of furniture do you like? There's stores in Hickory like Reflections, which carries more modern pieces, and then you have other stores that have more traditional styles of furniture. It also depends on your budget - if you're looking to buy a sofa, for example, are you planning to spend a few hundred bucks on it or a few thousand?

In my opinion, best thing to do is browse the web, find some stores you think you'd like, and take an afternoon and just drive around from store to store and check things out.

lots of choices in Hickory but doesn't mean you'll get your best prices there.

There is a furniture store in Denver called Denver Furniture. They do a lot of special orders, for example you see something you like in Hickory, you get the information and give it to Denver Furniture and they will beat the prices in Hickory (for the most part) not too sure how that works since business is so slow.

True - there's actually some great places right here in Charlotte. Price-wise, if you have the $ to spend, now is a good time as it seems that pretty much every furniture place is constantly having sales right now.

Loved Hickory Furniture Mart. Well laid out, good prices, easy to leave sections/stores that didn't match taste when compared to Furniture Land South in High Point. We certainly bought more at HFM vs. FLS when looking to furnish our entire house. FLS you also have an associate with you the entire time, so it helps to bring printouts of your tastes/desires. Good luck.
