I would lean towards locally owned place to cater. I just love Mom and Pop places!

Depending on your location -

We used Bubba's BBQ for a birthday party, it was great! They have chicken dishes.

I also highly recommend Mama's Pizza Express in Huntersville. They do great pizza, pasta, apps, garlic bread, etc.

Price's Chicken Coop has wonderful chicken, and great sides as well.

I don't think they take credit cards, but I'm not positive about that.

And, since we talking about one year olds, a few Chick-fil-A platters should have you covered, or even Roly Poly platters. They both do great party platters, and they are delicious.

That way, you have kids and adults covered with little work.

Dean & Deluca has great catering.

I also highly recommend Suarez Bakery for cakes and pastries (kid and adult friendly)!
