We are new to the area and will be leaving town next week via the airport. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a taxi cab company that will take us there that is reliable?
Thanks!!

I've never had a problem with Checker, they're on time and the drivers are usually friendly however their cars aren't as nice as some other companies so with a baby, that might not be what you need.

Depending on how far you have to drive, and how long you'll be gone, you may want to consider driving yourself. The parking rates at CLT are pretty inexpensive compared to a good number of other major airports.

FYI Taxi Rates.

14 miles cost $35 Yellow Cab back in 2006 (normal going rate)

It cost's $6 a day to park.

$6? I thought there were some $3 lots? That was going to be my advice too. Ditch the trashy cabs and just park on site. By "trashy" I mean: no regard for road rules/laws, rude drivers, POS cars, and did I mention rude drivers?

The price went up a few months back, they do have $4 lots but those are the overflow and are only used when the other lots are full.
