Hi,

Im from Jersey and my husband and I are interested in purchasing land on the outer towns of charlotte and would like to know what towns are nice, peaceful, family oriented, no flood zones, great neighbors, good schools, just plain nice area. I know a lot of questions but I want to get out of this urban area disrespectful city. I mean I love Jersey but most of the people are just rude, I know everywhere you go you will find rude people, but I really like north carolina scene. Also, can anyone tell me about some good home builders, our price rand is inexpensive builders, with great materials and wokmanship. THanks a bunch.

Jersey girl

Huntersville or Davidson tops my list, no flood zones unless you actually get lake front very quiet neighborhoods and low crime.

How much land are you wanting? Some towns that are in the metro area, but is more rual that I'd recommend would be Mt. Pleasant (NE of Charlotte), Troutman (north), and Clover (SW). They are all really nice and have good schools and good access to Charlotte.

Mount Holly and Belmont are nice. They offer small town feel being close enough to charlotte, yet far enough away.

Davidson is expensive compaired to other areas.

I like Huntersville. We live in Rosedale and it's a good community. It depends on what you plan on spending whether you would be interested or not. Birkdale is nice, too, but much more expensive than Rosedale.
