I could kick myself too, they had a great deal last october and this winter.

I know parking is $30, ontop of 3 tickets for $70, I might have to rethink it.

I really like having the passes which allow lesuire trips instead of craming it all in 1 day. I appreciate the suggestions.

I also refuse to pay $5 for a coke. Cedar Points parent company took ownership from Paramount this season. Ugh.......

Last year, we went several times a month. Since we live less than 2 miles from the entrance, we would go oftentimes late in the day or on the weekend for just a few hours. This year, I doubt we will go at all since the prices are so high. It's pretty ridiculous.

I dont get it ...if you go several times a month , what is 20 more dollars for the year??? I could see if you go once or twice a year, but.....no logic

Although, I think it is ridiculously expensive! Dont get me wrong. Its a shame how things are now...companies see a good thing and just don't care how much they take advantage..its the way the world is now, lets face it.

I just wonder if they are going to ruin carowinds. Personally I don't have $300 to drop on passes, that's why I was looking for a deal. My other gripe is how little the staff does there and everything is so expensive. Pure profit? Possibly.

Last summer if you went 5 times you could earn a free ticket to bring a friend and they had free bring a friend days. Now, you have to pay $14.95 to bring a friend and there is a service fee for using their website.

Its ONLY about profit..the place could fall apart and it wouldn't matter as long as money is being made

They used to have discounts on Coca-Cola cans. I think they've stopped that now though.

I saw that on the website....but that is only on specific days- mother's & father's days. You can bring a friend:

What you're forgetting is that for every time we go, it is $10 to park since you can't get the parking pass with the season pass now. So the "logic" is that it's not just an additional $20.00. Plus, the ticket price alone is $20 extra PER PERSON. If I could have gotten the passes at the $49.99 per person WITH the free parking, we might have "swung" that. So we're NOT going several times a month this year... very likely we will just pass altogether on Carowinds until we see what the season passes are for next year.

I didn't know about that. Parking is $10 a pop, way too expensive, I need my $5 cokes with that money. What do they think it's disney land.

I also cannot beleive how the circus and stuff can charge to park too, a $10 school ticket turns in to $20 because you have to pay to park. Maybe we do need a light rail.

Let me also add that there IS a "season Parking pass" for $30.00.... So a family of five can enjoy Carowinds all season for only $380 plus tax!! What a steal!! LOL

Maybe that's not too high for some folks, but its just too much for us when we go 2-3 hours at a time a few times a month. More power to anyone who wants to go--- If I had an extra 400 bucks, I'd probably buy the tickets anyway.
