I am looking to take my wife out for a nice relaxing dinner next weekend. I wasn't sure if anyone can recommend a nice place to get some good fish (im a swordfish kinda guy). When we were in FL, we had Legal Seafoods which had some really good menu items and a great atmosphere. Looking for something a bit more on the higher end. We were looking for something like that. Preferably in North Charlotte and even Huntersville, Cornelius area as well...

Any recommendations would be great!

Thanks!

Since you are looking for higher-end, I'd say:

Upstream in SouthPark is my personal favorite when it comes to seafood. High end. At Phillips Place.

I also recommend LaVecchia's, uptown near the arena. Nice, funky atmosphere, 25 wines by the glass/120 wines on the list, live music on the weekend.

Finally, Aquavina is uptown at The Green; it is pricey but I think you'd enjoy the atmosphere.

Any should make a lovely evening out with the wife!

Wow...some great places! My wife is a huge wine lover, so we might lean towards LaVecchia's. I'll foward them to the wife and see what she wants...

Thank you for the information!!

I'd have to recommend the Oceanaire in Southpark. it's not well advertised or known but it is AWESOME!!! It's on a different level than McCormick & Schmicks which is good also.

You won't be disappointed.

If you were looking for somewhere in Huntersville you might want to try Mickey and Mooch. Its not exclusively seafood, but I like it a lot. Anything they do with crab is excellent and they have great desserts.

Second for McCormick and Schmicks. Had awesome mussels there and delicious crabcakes. Loved the atmosphere.
