Finally time to replace my glasses...

Any recommendations for places other than the typical Lens Crafters or Sam's Club type places? I'd like to find a boutique that has high end or more unique styles than at the chain places. More designer brands, retro styles, etc.

And yes, I realize I sound pretentious. But, I only buy a new pair every once in a loooong while and I like what I like.

Thanks guys!

Default Asked my source...

He says try "Vision Loft" in Concord- across the street from Concord Mills. Says it's a very nice, high-end business with designer frames, etc. that will do a good job.

I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but you can try south park mall or Phillips place, but you'll most likely find the same mall brands anywhere you go in Charlotte. Your best bet is to go online, or go to new York or Atlanta. Charlotte lacks any good retail clothing/accessory stores.

Plunder around online and look for something you like. Then ask your favorite optician if they can order it for you, or find out who distributes it in this area. My daughter recently found a frame she liked, then we shopped around to see where we could find it locally. The opticians are very happy to order something for you to try, even if you don't buy it.

She has a lot up upscale and many European styles you will not find at the chain places. Very nice to work with and always willing to make adjustments long after the sale. I would highly recommend a visit before you buy else where.
