Does anyone have any recomendations for a good BBQ place? My family and I are visiting at the end of the month and looking for good places to eat. Any info would be great. Thank you!

Even though they serve Eastern style BBQ, I recommend R&R BBQ, 755 Pitts School Rd, Concord:

The Old Hickory House BBQ Restaurant, 6538 N Tryon St, Charlotte.

Bubba's Barbecue, 4400 Sunset Rd, Charlotte:

Speaking of BBQ (sort of), has anyone gone to the "Rockin' RibFest" in Troutman?

For the best BBQ, stop in Lexington, NC.

My favorite is Lexington Barbecue located off US Highway 29-70.
The State is upgrading the highway and bridge in front of the restaurant, but you should be abe to exit off the highway with minimal problem.

Lexington Barbecue, 10 Us Highway 29 70 S, Lexington, NC on Yahoo! Local

My favorite is the coarse chopped plate or tray. It has large chunks of meat and very little fat.

Also, Lexington hosts the Barbecue Festival every Fall.

This makes topic makes me homesick.
