Just for the record, my son is into kilts and really likes putting together that look, lol. We have several strong lines of Scots in the family and so son likes wearing the tartans. He also is big into Highland Games, so these are occasions when he can sport his kilts, but he will wear them out just for fun.

So yes, real men do wear kilts, lol. I personally am a sucker for a guy in a kilt - especially w/ full regalia. I was crushed to learn of Alexander McQueen's death. He did so much to promote tartans used in fashion - and wore kilts himself.

For the record, kilts I'm fine with. Men's skirts? Probably not.

Plus, I'm not a Scot or of Scottish heritage, so you won't catch me sporting a kilt, either.

Men's skirts . . . not something I would care for, either! Kilts are cool - especially on men w/ good legs!

Fashion can be fun - and many ways to make it fun - but the bottom line is - most of us aren't going to spend the cash on stuff that goes out of style quickly or that is way too trendy (here this season, gone the next). I think that is why most folks around here have wardrobes that are upscale sportswear - from sports coats to khakis (and jeans)- those are items that can be dressed up or dressed down. Lots of use and versatile. It makes the $$ go further.

A lot of the stuff I was seeing on those links really are traditional type pieces - maybe with just a twist.

I would love to see it work here . . .
