We picked last weekend at the farm off Providence just south of 485... it's on the West side where you have to cross over the widening project.
What a BONANZA! Strawberry utopia... one bigger then the next and my kids having a ball. I can't remember the name because I'm so brain burnt, but if that was any indication I completely agree with the OP!
There were a ton of them at the regional farmers market this past Saturday. I suspect there will be even more this weekend. if you like strawberries, then go get some. They will be much better than than the ones in the grocery stores.
Even better, take the time to learn how to make some strawberry jam. Even a caveman can do it.

I think that's Hunter Farms.
We picked so many last year that we froze a ton. I just cleaned and cut them, and then I tossed them in a big freezer bag. Thawed them out in January and poured them over ice cream. Made a really nice treat in the middle of winter.
Woohoo! I'm going to convince my husband to head down to Springs Farm when he gets home tonight. I've gone through 6lbs of strawberries in the past 3 weeks, but really you can never have enough.
We stopped by a stand down in UC last weekend and it was $7 for a small bucket, maybe 3 lbs.
It was $2/lb... if we bring back the white buckets to reuse them, he'll give you 50cents off (I'm guessing he meant total not per pound!).
