Brooklyn girl here! I've been too so many churches here in 2007 when I moved here, looking for the same experience. I know your church well and attended many of their services.
Here are my top three to check out:
Victory: Welcome to Victory Christian Center - ONLINE
The Park: The Park Ministries - Home
Friendship: FRIENDSHIP - Missionary Baptist Church
They are all good, I joined The Park, but at times visit Victory to hear Pastor Gool--he's awesome!. Good luck!

Someone here in NYC did mention that VCC is a church I should visit...I will check out VCC my next visit to charlotte...I appreciate all the responses and if any other churches should come to mind please let me know...Be blessed City Forum Fam
