Wow, that's what that was. I was working out in our fitness center at Tyvola and Billy Graham and heard them even over my headphones. I thought it was way too loud to be a Harley!
I'm working at Langley AFB right now and I'm lucky enough to see the F-15s and F-22s fly on a daily basis. If these were Guard planes (there is an Air National Guard unit co-located on the grounds of Charlotte-Douglas Int.), I'll bet they were F-15s:
