I'm having some back and knee issues and would like to consult with a good chiropractor to see if he/she can help.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Should you seek out the Prax group (Drs. Jennifer and Brian Prax), I would encourage you to fully understand their pricing structures before you make a commitment. There is the Virginia Chiropractic Association that might be able to help you to determine quality of doctor.

I've personally started avoiding graduates of Life University. It seems to me their graduates are a little too infatuated with "alternative" techniques (all of which cost extra money not coverage by insurance) and not enough with just basic chiropractic. Maybe it's just because they are the largest chiro college, but they have had some bad press in the past, something about blaming all problems on spinal sublaxations. I thought this was a good read on the subject:
Don't Let Chiropractors Fool You

Anyway, you wanted a chiropractic recommendation, I've been going to Spillman at Balance Chiropractic recently and have been reasonably impressed.

Thank you both for your replies. I repped you.

gloriav50, thanks for the tip on the Prax group and the Virginia Chiropractic Association.

SpitefulBadger that's interesting about graduates of Life University. Thank you. I appreciate the link to the article as well. I've put Spillman on my list.
