where to live (Chattanooga: apartments, relocating to, retired)

Thinking of relocating to Chattanooga. Looks like some fun stuff there and a beautiful area.
we're older, but not yet retired, would definitely be job-hunting. I don't see much in the way of jobs unless you drive a truck.

Are there any apartments where we won't have children?

Also, I see the river and the mountains, obviously flooding is sometimes an issue?

You don't say what you do, but in my job hunting experience here I found it is best to target companies and look on their websites for postings. Many of thesedon't post their positions externally.

Flooding was an issue in the old days, but the Lake Chickamauga dam controls the TN river and therefore it doesn't have any uncontrolled flooding anymore.
