My wife and I are interested in moving to Chattanooga and want a a condo within walking distance of the Walnut St bridge. Is One North Shore Place a good place to consider? No children, no pets, not jobs, no entanglements. We want a place that we can walk to everything.

The problem with any condo is that you are not just buying a condo, you are buying a condo association or builder.

Does anyone know anything pro or con about the place?

Thanks,

John

One North Shore BY FAR has the best amenities between here and any other major city. It's location can't be beat either. Situated at the entrance to Renaissance Park with instant access to walking paths / trails, across the street from Greenlife / Whole Foods, Walgreens around the corner, Restaurants and night life literally a short stroll away.

The developer has very deep pockets and the place is selling at a pretty good pace. My office is in the commercial space of this place and we just love it.

Default Good Location

JOHN.: WELCOME. Yes the new stuff on North Shore is great if one can afford.. Our church friends are just east of this bldg at 417 Fraiser. They had the open house for the newspaper tour.

Also Chattanooga has FREE , electric buses that run all over the city, so can easy expand your walking distances. .. Bikes are very popular, even to grab a few groceries in the baskets.

Let us know what you find. I believe the parks to the West of that bldg are
being expanded.

To all,

Thanks for the advice so far. We really like the amenities at One North Shore, but the one bedrooms (all we can afford) are small.

We looked at some condo's on the river today called Battery Place. Anyone heard about them?

Thanks,

John

They are nice. The main issue there are the interior units. There is some debate whether the "2" bedroom condos are actually 2 bedrooms. The 2nd "Bedroom" in the interior units does not have a window but does have a closet and a door leading into the bathroom which has a door leading to the hallway. There are no amenities except the condo's location on the Riverwalk.

I had remembered the Bread Factory Lofts were going so just a quick google such brought this Chattanooga, TN Apartments and Houses for Rent, Local Apartment and Home Rentals, House, Townhome, and Condo Rentals, Vacation Rentals, Roommate and Sublet Classifieds :: Property Details for "Loft 110 Bread Factory Lofts Downtown"

I am sure you can find a better page for that. Also, this down on market, 1417 Market Street 21 (http://www.rivercitypm.com/index.php?option=com_hotproperty&view=properties&l ayout=property&id=1377 - broken link)

Blue502,

thanks for the suggestion, but they appear to be apartments. We are looking for something on the North Shore that we can buy. A condo would be our preference. We have looked at some condo's South of Main, but it might be a little "edgy" for us.
