My fiancé and I are wanting to move our family south from Michigan. Originally we were considering the Blue Ridge GA area. But now we are wondering if Tennessee might be more financially fit for us. We have two young teenage kids. We are looking for suggestions on cities that would best suit us. We are a same sex couple. We are looking for an area with good schools especially for our daughter entering high school next year who struggles with adhd and anxiety. We are outdoors people and prefer not to live right in a large city. We would like a small town feel but with a decent job market. However we don't want to be so far out that our job commute exceeds 20-30 minutes from home. We are looking for housing in the $120k and under range. Does anyone have any suggestions or helpful information?

To add a little more details about job market desired....My fiancé has been working in the auto parts industry for about 20 years now and I am currently the art gallery coordinator for the local college and have an A.A.S. in Animation and Game Art.
