New Neighbors: Best way to view "The Grand Canyon of the East River" is a 55mph Fly down the river on New 3,500 H.P. Jet Catamaran , HydroFoil design out of the state of Wash. Airplane like seats, computer screens, Snack bar.
.. SunDeck view of the Brow lots, while learning about the Civil War history battles on our mountains. Lots of bird wildlife to view. This new adventure is a must do. Ask for a Nose Wheelie, with spray up on the windows, or a 360 degree Donut from the sundeck. Your face will SPLIT with laughter.!
.... Can draw 8 inches of water at speed. We were equal with trucks on I-24 expressway.

It's way overpriced for what you get. You have to book through the aquarium.

We did it also, but Split's pics are way better than the ones we took. We're not members of the Aquarium, but I recall the price was $24/person with Aquarium admission.

Here was the angry Osprey that we caught on the cruise.

Mother Nature is redecorating "Tennessee's Grand Canyon" this month. The Tennessee River Gorge ignites with color and life. Cool weather orchestrates autumn's pageantry to a crescendo. The Tennessee River is one of the prettiest rivers anywhere in the world, claims Capt. Mike Hosemann. He and his brother, Capt. Pete Hosemann, oversee daily excursions of the River Gorge Explorer, a high-speed catamaran operated by the Tennessee Aquarium.

Cruises depart from the Chattanooga Pier at Ross's Landing, directly behind the downtown aquarium. During peak foliage, the usual 90-minute cruises are extended to two hours.

Split, we did the River Gorge tour on Saturday and the fall colors were bright and at their peak. The boat is awesome and the entire tour, including all the narration was perfect in every way.
