6.0L (LQ9) 1998 Trans Am WS6 burnout - YouTube
Well atleast Pontiac had a nice models that are missed because the Volt is a model that no one will miss and got to love the old LS1 Camaro when it was motoertrends car of the year...The video shows what North American Cars used to be all about which was supporting the tire industry
So the Chevy Volt took a Bolt for 5 weeks? Maybe 10? What happens when there is no one left to force to purchase these Volt-ing wonders? Will 5 weeks go to 15 weeks? Will they match the fate of the Pontiac or Oldsmobile brand?
Its the car Chevy had to build. Didn't want to. Didn't have the money to. Didn't even have the design to, except it looks eerily like a Malibu doesn't it?
POS Volt out of production as of 10 minutes ago. Hopefully, it will never be seen again.
Please explain how it's a POS. I'm all ears for your wisdom on this. The car is over priced but it's hardly a POS. You can go to the volt forums and find that almost every owner doesn't regret their purchase.
"But, I found the fire helps me get to my destination faster, for fear for my life." Brilliant line. It was destined for failure from the beginning, but I didn't expect it to go away so quickly.
Overpriced compared to a regular car, but it's the first of its kind.
They've got some kinks to work out with the pricing, marketing, and the car itself, and they eventually will if they keep trying.
What I don't understand is all the derision every time automotive technology takes another step forward. You don't need to fear change all the time. (Some people still b***h about electronic fuel injection, for crying out loud!)
Don't you haters worry. Cars that only use one kind of fuel (which you must purchase from an oil company) will still be available for a long, long time. It will be OK.
On the other hand, those of us who enjoy new technology might like to have the choice to purchase a car that can use two kinds of fuel, one of which is already wired into virtually every home in the country, and has a diverse number of sources. It can even be solar powered.
I just can't see the downside to making progress instead of standing still.
