If this is the old style (initial 2005 offered) style, I had one - an '05 CXL. It was a nice car but in my opinion, it was not quite the car Buick made it out to be. Buick touted the quieteness of these cars and I think that was a little overstated as my CXL didn't seem to be any quieter than other late model Buicks I had owned.
The 3800 is a good engine, I've had 5 of them in all, but the one in this particular Lacrosse developed a thirst for oil and used about 2 quarts every 1,000 miles despite routine maintenance. This car was not abused and the problem developed after the 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty ran out. I kept a close check on the oil and figured that I would just deal with it until I was ready to trade it in which is exactly what I did. Other than that, no problems with the LaCrosse.
Would I buy another LaCrosse? You bet I would. The current model is on my list of cars along with the Regal and the Verano. In my opinion, the new generation LaCrosse is the premium automobile buyers come to expect in a Buick.
OH I drove a Regal (my old car is a 96 Regal) and it was AWESOME....If I was a rich girl...
This one is slightly different I think than the 05 models...I drove one of those as a test along with the Regal I mentioned above. This Lacrosse feels different...I think they've tweaked it a little more or something.
I DOES take some getting used to with all the buttons though...I went from a 96 to a 2009....its a big difference. lol
