If it's anything like the regen on the Volt or Spark EV, it'll have 4 modes, D and Normal, L and Normal, D with Sport, and L with Sport. D gives almost no regen on deceleration except with actual braking, When you let off the throttle it'll coast. L gives what feels like engine braking when you let off the throttle and is heavy regen. Sport mode adds throttle remapping for more action with less throw.

I've driven a number of the current EVs and PHEVs and can't wait to test drive the Bolt. If lease rates can be good, I might get one for daily use.

The 2016 Volt has "adjustable" regen (sort of)
2016 Chevrolet Volt Dissected: Everything You Need to Know – Feature – Car and Driver

I'd think the Bolt, due out at the end of the year, would have the same feature.
Keep in mind that you are not likely to get in-depth technical info prior to the release of the car. Most of the tech stuff I have seen for my Spark EV has been from 3rd party sources.
