My Husband and I are possibly relocating to Chicago soon if I get the position I interviewed for. Anyways, I was wondering if there are any small towns near Chicago, country like towns? I wouldn't mind a house with some land.

Palos Park. This look rural enough for you?
12300 South 86th Avenue, Palos Park, IL - Google Maps Use the little street walker dude google provides to check the area out. Palos Park is about as rural a town comes and still is in Cook County yet is within a 15 minute drive of this

Really needled more info...
There are places in the region that are probably both more "small town-ish" and more affordable, but without know WHERE THE JOB WILL be located wouldn't make much sense to just start throwing out suggestions...
