Yeah, you're right, it's "well spent taxpayer" money right? Why, oh yeah, because some great leader claimed we needed to be an "ownership society".
I think that was the same guy who wanted to put all the social security money into the stock market too. Wow, if only we had done that, how great that would have been.

I remember when closing costs were $200, now if you can close for two grand you are lucky. Three percent of closing is a spit in a bucket compared to the 20% down payment.

If you want to call using taxpayers money to pay closing costs as a seller assist subsidized housing then you might as well call the majority of all recent homes sold subsidized housing.

I'm guessing you meant to place a comma after "it"....that being said, yes, any use of taxpayer money to help finance, assist, etc. someone buying a home makes it subsidized housing. What, did you think they have to give you a home or pay your rent for it to be subsized?
