Hi. My husband and I are relocating to the suburbs in October and we want to rent a house. We are looking to spend $1700-1900 and live in the Elmhurst, Elk Grove Village areas. We would like to have 3 bed and 2 bath and have something with a nice kitchen (granite, nice cabinets, nice appliances). The problem is that we can't find that. I just spent two weeks in the area, looking at homes and I was surprised at the condition of most of the homes. Also, it has been a struggle to find things in my price range. I did have a realtor for some showings and I found some on Craigslist and the internet, but I just can't believe there isn't more out there. I didn't know if someone could give opinions on where to find rentals in the areas that we want to live in. I thought with our budget and the fact that we would be perfect tenants, (two people, no kids, no pets, no smoking), it would be a lot easier to find a place to live. Any advice? Opinions welcome. Thanks.
