Thought I'd let you guys know that an alumni of Bloom High School class of 65, George Albrecht, started a website for our class a few years ago. Even if you didn't go to Bloom, if you lived (or live) anywhere in the south suburbs near there, I bet you'll find it interesting. It has pics from back then and even ads from the local paper from the 60s, etc. One of my favorite sections is the "Geezers Column". It was a very different time then. Here - enjoy.

Oh yeah - Bloom alumni don't "no" how to properly use the word "know".

I know a lot of people who did. I hope this thread can amount to something more than how things were so much better forty years ago.

Well, the website does kind of show that. There were 712 in the graduating class of '65 (and I was the youngest). George has been trying to find all of us and he's found almost half so far. Of course, some of the graduates are no longer with us, including one of my best friends.

A large number of class members now live in Arizona (gee - what a surprise) and they have an annual class picnic there. Our 50th reunion is coming up in a few years. Sheesh - 50 years.

Unfortunately, for my generation, every day is like a high school reunion with Facebook, lol
