But, if the OP is going to go to Downers Grove every now and then, he would still have to pay those ridiculously high tolls on I-355. If I was going to that area I would be cheap and take 53 by getting off on Army Trail. It costs like 5 bucks just to get to Downers Grove from up here, screw that.

True, good suggestion with alternate to 355. However, if one takes 294, tolls are more $ than on I-355
