Which is a better place for a young single professional?

I can see from the online info that Aurora has a younger median age and its houses are smaller and less fancy than Naperville. So what kind of people live in Aurora as compared to Naperville?

Do the younger professionals live in Auroa more or it is just a more blue-colar population?

How is the safety compared in these cities?

Thanks.

both places are pretty big! Aurora is more of a typical city. It has good parts and bad parts and is probably more diverse economically. When you say young, single professional woman, I would put you in naperville. they have a lot of better apartments/condos etc. that would suit your needs. You would have quick access to the toll way, a more safe, yuppie-like downtown..lots of dining, shopping, bars etc. with walkability. Aurora's downtown does not feel friendly and inviting to me, but that is just my opinion. You can certainly check crime statistics, but I would feel safer in naperville than in aurora. However, the far west side of aurora is totally different. it is more family-suburban feel.

Default avoid downtown aurora

Western and eastern Aurora have some very nice parts. White Eagle is actually in Aurora, not Naperville, as is Stonebridge. The closer you get to downtown the less yuppy and more blue collar it gets and some areas near downtown Aurora are awful with gangs and crime.

The biggest differences between Naperville and Aurora are their downtowns. Naperville is mostly yuppies while Aurora has all socioeconomic types.

Stonebridge is in Aurora but White eagle is part in NPV and part in Aurora. Fact!
