What's interesting is the apparent difference between someplace like Florida, and somewhere like Illinois. In Illinois, you go down the road five miles (or less), you're in a different town. In a ten mile drive, you can hit three or four towns easy...whereas in Florida (it seems anyhow) you can't even get out of town in ten miles.

That's how it is in rural Illinois.

I was thinking suburbs of Chicago. Wauconda to Libertyville to Gurnee, as an example.
