Hello, all
Recently I was looking through the demographic data of my middle school, Daniel Wright Jr. High School, in Lincolnshire, and found that it was around 47% East/South Asian, with that number rising each year. However, the Asian percentage in Lincolnshire and its surrounding communities seem to be stagnating, with only 6% of the population being Asian and Lincolnshire. And although many of the school’s residents come from Buffalo Grove and Vernon Hills, how can this be, as those two communities combined do not have Asian populations of 47%. Can someone please give insight? Thanks!

103 is made up of more than just the communities you mentioned. Look at the district's website:

Lincolnshire and Prairie View and portions of Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills, Mettawa, Riverwoods and Lake Forest.

Also, the older folks in Lincolnshire are probably almost entirely white, but they don't have kids in school.

And, I don't know where you got the 6 percent, but if it's from the census that would be almost ten years old. My impression is that the area has become much more Asian (like much of America) in the fairly recent past.

Yes, and none of those communities are close to 47% Asian. Where, in general, do the younger people concentrate? I know most live west of Milwaukee, but even an aging population doesn’t explain the out-of-line demographics.
