Guess you would need to define inner city

To me it has an inner city feel to the place
It's definatley not a community like Celebration FL.

Like anyother big Metro your going to have the good places and the bad places and in between places.

To me it has the feel, look and characteristics of a large scale Metropolitan area.
To me it feels very inner city has the same feel as Maywood , Bellwood, Broadview Older more inner ring burbs. vs. the likes of bolingbrook , lombard type of areas.

Traditionally the south burbs of Harvery, Robbins, Riverdale Ch. Heights are very much an industrialized driven suburbs and they will have a grittier feel to them.

Any place in the U.S. that comes close to 5.5 million people in a single county is going to have a few bad areas.

It is just a fact of our urban areas.
Not every corner is going to have a white picket fence.

Take the good , take the bad.
If you take these areas out of Chicagoland it would not be the same.
Its the make-up and identity of the ara. good or bad.
