new minor league baseball team in zion,il

Will zion see alot of redevelopment with this new team if its successful. Do you guys think that it will eventually become the next affluent suburb of the north shore like lake forest and highland park, maybe even like evanston?

Of course. So was The Untouchables.

Believe it or not Water World was ok as well!

Bull Durham was decent too.

Everything else with him in it sucks!

Now you asked a serious question but can not get a straight answer!

Having lived in the area, I don't think Zion (and nearby Waukegan) can ever attain the high stature of a Lake Forest because the socioeconomic/educational level of the residents, the school performance, and the housing stock (lots of low-income/sect. 8 housing) hampers this. There are also some issues with gangs and crime. However, I have always liked this town (diverse, down-to-earth people and beautiful parks and beaches) and think the baseball stadium can only make it better. Perhaps it can attain the level of a Schaumburg, home of another minor league team (Flyers).

p.s. Kevin Costner is one of the worst actors. What was that movie where he was the only actor who couldn't do the British accent? He had to play an English character who spoke American English! I like that he loves baseball though... And he's easy on the eyes...

Are they going to be the Zion Postmen in Waterworld Park?
