Can anyone here recommend an ideal location for a video game arcade or something similar? I would never consider Chicago due to the high land prices and taxes and I would love to purchase an existing one or start from scratch. Thank you.

There used to be one called Super Just Games in Northbrook, but it closed years ago. I'm under the impression that video arcades are a thing of the past due to the availability of home entertainment systems such as Wii, Playstation, and Microsoft X Box.

The closest things to arcades these days are located within larger "family fun centers" (miniature golf, bumper cars, etc). The day of the mom & pop standalone video arcade died a long time ago.

The big ones out there are Gameworks and Dave & Busters, and they're not doing too hot financially either

Not a suburb but I think Galena might work well.

I haven't run into a modern video arcade game that I had liked; I like the old school 80's games instead like Defender, Robotron, Stargate, Tempest, and Gauntlet.

Now, I'd rather play PC Video games than sink quarters.

I think stand alone arcades are a dead concept. You should post a poll asking if people would go to one!
