Humm... not to jump to any conclusions here... But why would one live in River North, and be worried about dollar boxes of mac and cheese? Something is not right...

not necessarily. the 365 store brand is surprisingly cheap, almost as cheap as equivalent store brand products in regular stores, depending on the item. I remember when I lived in Boston, 365 brand conventional milk was often cheaper than a store brand milk that wasn't on sale (and while it wasn't organic, it was hormone free)

exactamundo, between tjs and whole foods 365 stuff I def save money on groceries. At least, for people who actually cook from scratch you will save this way. Mix it up with some ethnic stores, etc. If you are buying chef boyardee and doritos, well, I guess you'll have to shop elsewhere.

The poster said cheaper (not almost as cheap) And Boston prices do not apply here. But I get your point.

I have the receipts right here. A 1/2 gallon of Jewel whole milk is $2.59 and the 365 is $2.39.

I thought we were talking about gallons not half gallons.

Besides, 20 cents is not that big of a difference in most people's minds.

Also, where were both of these stores located?
