There's a difference between something that has artistic elements and something that was scribbled with a magic marker in five seconds or less.

Friend of mine in Humboldt has an empty lot next to his place with a fence on the line. Commissioned the neighborhood kids to make art out of it. Some of them were pretty talented. Drastically different then the odd gang symbol.

If I key your car, I may find it interesting to look at. Does this adversely affect your life?

I wonder if it would still be interesting to look at if it was on your property, with hints of gang activity? Some would say that that would adversely affect their lives.

Gang graffiti shouldn't be clumped with tagger graffiti

If I key 'jdiddy' into your car with an artistic flourish, does this adversely affect your life?

I am not in a gang, but I am very good with keys, and I like the way my name looks on your car. I feel that I've really added character to an otherwise non-descript Chevy Aveo.

Taggers don't tag cars.
You old people need to stop talking about things you don't know about.

We know an illegal lack of civility and respect when we see it.

There's a difference between keys & spray paint.

The distinction was not originally made, but since you bring it up, I wonder how interesting "tagger graffiti" is for the person when it's on the person's property?

There's a difference between gangs and writing crews, crews generally don't write on personal places... cars, homes, churches, etc. Gangs are more prone to just throw their sign up on anything in their hood.

As mentioned before, VTC is a crew. Same as J4F, CAB/312, CMK, CMW, BAD, TDM, etc.
Also agreed on the "you people should stop talking about things you know nothing about".
