Does anyone know about the Park View Apartments in Lincoln Park? The building looks awesome and I guess it used to be a hotel back in the day which is really cool to me. I read the Yelp ratings and according to one reviewer, the apartment building is far away from an el station and not within walking distance of a grocery store. Both of these things could be reasons for me not to rent an apartment there because I won't have a car, but I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with this particular building.

Thanks!

PS I think on ApartmentRatings.com the building is called Lincoln Park West.

You don't need to be able to walk to a grocery store. You can take the Clark bus. On the other hand, if you consider 4-5 blocks to be a reasonable walking distance to a grocery store, there are a few at that distance.

You really don't need to be close to the train either to get downtown. Again, take the Clark bus.

Nonsense, there's a corner store (Carnival Foods) down the street and a Treasure Island a few blocks away, not to mention Chicago's largest farmer's market right in your front yard twice a week during the season. There's the Clark bus, the Lincoln/Sedgwick, and the 151 bus nearby to take you to downtown and beyond.

I was planning on buying one of those granny cart things because I don't really like grocery shopping more than once every week or two, so I was thinking of finding an apartment close to a grocery store that I could just walk to.
