You might want to buy a portable A/C. ABT usually has some, or just look online. They're on rollers and can keep one room below 70 degrees. They come with a dryer-type hose you attach to a window adapter to expel the hot air. If you have windows that open up and down, installation takes 20 seconds. If your windows open by pulling in, you'll have to take your screen to a hardware store and have plexiglass installed in the screen frame, and of course bring the adapter with you so they can cut out the proper sized hole to fit the adapter. About $300 but well worth it.
