I'm from Texas and was wondering, what is there to do on a monday-weds night that is good during the week in downtown. I'm staying at the Hyatt on E. Wacker, and was wondering what bars/clubs there are that get decent/good. I love every genre of music so it could be anything from House Music (My favorite genre of music) to Top 40/Hip Hop. Love Rock so live bands would be awesome also. If anyone could help out, It would be greatly appreciated. Fast response because I'm already here! Lol Thanks everybody

I don't really go out on Mondays but the bars on Hubbard might have something going on. Rockit or Theory are generally busy bars. I don't think any clubs will be busy tonight. Cuvee will be fairly busy on Wednesday night if you've looking for a club.

I think the upstairs of Rockit has a DJ but I can't remember totally. There is also a place on dearborn that has live music every night I think. Underground Wonder Bar. I've only been there twice but the bands were pretty good, or I was drunk. Sort of Rock/Bluesish music when I was there. It's a really small bar under the Joynt, which is also a live music/dance place.

Look for live music at the Vic, Double Door, Metro, Empty Bottle, Park West, Hide Out, Dark Room...all good places to see a show.

I'm not into clubs, but for a very good one without the attitude that tends to do more House music, I would suggest Smart Bar. I don't think they're open Monday or Tuesday though. It's a bit of a haul via the red line or cab up to their corner of Wrigleyville but my friends who are house djs are quite partial to this place when they're in town.

Awesome. I love house music, and keep up to date with a lot of the Big names (Dj Bam Bam, Mixin Marc, Bad Boy Bill, Tony Arzadon ect..) and that is my 1st choice in music. Maybe I can check that place out on Weds if they are open then...?
