What are your plans? Leaving town or staying put and hoping riots don't break out?

I have some worries about friends and family still in town. Given how things are going in the world right now this pointless summit could lead to major chaos.

Staying put. It will be what it'll be. If there's any sort of huge perceived danger in the loop, I'm sure I'll be told to work from home anyway.

I wouldn't doubt though that some of the delegates and journalists will be staying in many hotels around me though, but meh. Not worried at all yet.

Well, remember there were some terrorist threat concerns during this. G8 is gone now, but NATO and 7000 delegates still exist. There will be protesting at least but it helps that G8 has moved to Camp David.

I haven't heard of anyone being worried. I will just go about my normal day.

There's always trouble with G8. I would think the armed wing of the G8 nations would also draw some fire.

G8 isn't being held here anymore, only NATO.

I dont think anything will happen, but it will be a hassle to commute to downtown. I mean the amount of traffic that happens in the Loop when Obama is in town can be horrendous. With all these world leaders, oh geez, it's going to be so much worse. My employer is letting me work from home and I'm gonna do it. I think one can easily tack on an extra 30 minutes to an hour on their commute.
