Crain's just reported that IL is highest in nation in forclosures. I live in GA currently and it has held that title for a great while. It was just reported in the Atlanta Business Chronicle this morning that 2
out 5 mortgages are under water.

The job situation here is pretty dismal as well. With all that being said, I'd been planning to move back to Chicago, but after reading this report, I am not sure.

It has been predicted that it will take GA 10 years to recover from the recessions and 78% of Atlanta area employers said they will not be adding new jobs. How is it looking up there?

I would hope you wouldn't move anywhere that far without a job first... So if you find a job, I'd say go for it! You can probably pick yourself up a decent home because of those statistics, or at least a nice rental.

The job security all depends on what industry your in. Nobody can guarantee anything of course.

No worries, Chi Guy. I would not relocate anywhere without a job AND savings :-)

I thought about buying a place there.
