I'm a liberal as well, but Mayor Daley (and his cop-out gun ban) has got to go. He's one of the reasons I left Chicago in the first place. This city will nickel and dime you to death, and there really are no jobs here these days (and don't say there are, there aren't, because fyi I am employed elsewhere), and while prices of apartments aren't out of control compared to some other places, they are one the rise. Todd Stroger is another person I wish to see rot in the fiery pits of hell. What a complete, clueless jagoff.

Maybe a gun ban's been put into effect for fear of civilian's going after Chicago's politicians.

They all need to get off their high horses. If Chicago continues to elect inept leader's, it deserves everything it gets, and I will wish only the worst for my city.

Chicago is, and always has been, a very corrupt city.

Like political whores everywhere, it's politicians are now less influenced and afraid of public opinion.

Until many people outside the status quo group run for public office and get elected, Chicago politics will continue as it has for decades.

I own a house in the burbs and one in the city (36 born and raised in Chicago), the taxes in Chicago are no cheaper. As far as all of the extra fees, etc. it mostly goes to pay for King Daley's ghost payroll employees ( the city that works) and so he can pay off the people who know about his corruption (son owns a business that does sewer work for the city).

Chicago has the highest murder rate of any other city in the country.

PS I love Chicago, but Daley has not done anything to make it great we would have made it better if Daley didn't always have his hands in our pockets.
