1. Southport summerfest
2. Retro on Rosco

I don't have anymore because I haven't been to enough that I really liked.

I think most of them are fine if you're just looking to go hang out and drink for awhile, but I usually don't travel too far to go to one unless there's a band I really want to see.

I like the Do-Division Fest - the Empty Bottle does the booking for it so there are usually some interesting bands I've never seen before. Wicker Park Fest and Westfest can have some interesting bands as well. Bluesfest in Grant park is generally one of the better downtown ones, and I usually make it there every other year.

While it isn't a city run festival I usually make it to the Hideout Block Party every year. They always have a good line up for music.

There's usually something worth watching at Pitchfork, but it always seems to be a million degrees outside for that one.

I've enjoyed Maifest in Lincoln Square. I've seen some good bands I didn't know at the Wicker Park or Bucktown one (the one on Milwaukee, not Damen).

Hideout does get some good music, but man if that event isn't the biggest logistical cluster**** in history. Their approach to selling beer should be criminalized.

I always go to Maifest and Retro on Rosoce. Easily two of my favorites. I also always enjoy Taste of Lincoln and Ribfest in North Center. There are so many that are great!

Bucktown Arts fest, for, well, art.

Westfest for dog related events.

Toss up between Do Division and Wicker Park fest after that. Maybe a slight edge to Do Division since no one has ever hit me in the eye at that fest.
