Im a 19 year old black/Dominican male with a Yorkshire Terrier. I have a job that pays $10 an hour, I work 5 day a week for 8 hours. I had a roommate but we had issues and decided to go separate ways. I lived in Uptown on the northside but now I need a new place to live where rent is $700- $1000 at the most. Im looking for a studio or 1 bed room in a safe neighborhood. I have lived in Logan Square, Uptown & Albany Park. I would prefer to live on the north side.

$1000/month seems pretty high for making $2000/month before tax... Have you looked into something like Edgewater or even some of the cheaper options in North Center/Ravenswood?

Durrr, lol..don't know why I multiplied by 5. Well some months have 5 weeks, some have 4. Anyway, $1000/month is way too much for that salary. You'd have almost nothing left unless you actually have savings or you get free food, phone, etc 100% of the time

I thought Dominicans lived together in rectories, the way Jesuits do.
