My wife and I are heading back to Chicago next week and would like to know if there is a Duck tours in the downtown area. We took one last month in Boston and had a great time.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the Boston duck boat tours are great. We don't have them here in Chicago.

No duck tours, but I would highly recommend the architectural boat tour if you haven't done that already..

Yeah, no duck tours but loads of other boat tour options. I think the best are the architectural tours (the Chicago Architectural Foundation's are my favorite), but there are a number of other options. Some company (Seadog?) runs speedboat tours of the lakefront, and there are plenty of tourboats that go out for the fireworks every Wednesday and Saturday. There's also a number of larger boats doing dinner or booze cruise type things.

I think it is Seadog. There are also regular street tours - both by bus and walking - many of them. Architectural Boat tour is a must though IMO unless you've already done it.

We did the Architectural Boat tour last year and you are right it is a must see. I did find a link to a duck tour (600 N. Clark St) but I guess it's no longer in business, the Seadog tours do look like fun though.

Thanks once again for the help.

Canadian, have you ever tried the Chicago Greeter tour? We had a great experience with a local guide. You can select your interests prior to the visit so they will try to match you with a guide with that type of knowledge.
Chicago Greeter: Meet a Greeter and make a friend today. It's a great way to learn about the city because it's one on one, not in a group.
It's free but if you have a good experience, I suggest to do what I did, which was to buy the guy lunch and then gave him a tip at the end (he was with my wife and I from 9 a.m. to almost 6 p.m.)
