Hi,
I'm obviously very new to chicago (only familiar with the downtown area)
I'm a medical student who is gonna be living in downtown chicago (most likely the loop) and this November i'm gonna be working for a month in advocate lutheran general hospital (1775 Dempster St Park Ridge, IL 60068) and the Resurrection medical center (7435 W Talcott Ave)
My questions are
1- are those areas safe for me to stay from morning to evening?
2- what's the easiest way for me to get from the loop to those two places? (knowing i sadly don't have a car.)

and Thank you!

1. Yes, both areas are very safe.

2. For 7435 W Talcott, you can take the Blue Line train in the direction of O'Hare to the Harlem stop. Then transfer to the 88 bus towards Devon/Canfield. It drops off right at the hospital.

For the Park Ridge one, you can take the Blue Line again in the direction of O'Hare, but get off at the Cumberland stop. Then you'd have to catch a PACE suburban bus route 241 toward Golf Mill/JC Penny. That will get you within 1/4 to 1/2 a mile for walking.

Both of these may very well take close to or over an hour to get to and from the Loop.

Google directions is your friend by the way..
